Risk Disclosure
Last updated: 17 September 2026
Trading leveraged foreign exchange and other instruments is high risk. You can lose a substantial part of, or all of, your trading capital. Losses can occur quickly and may exceed expectations. Only use capital you can afford to lose and independently decide whether trading is suitable for you.
No guarantee and no personalised advice
EdgeFlow provides automated MT5 software and research tools using predefined strategy logic. It does not guarantee returns or intend to provide personalised advice. EdgeFlow does not take custody or control of your capital or operate your brokerage account. You remain responsible for all trading decisions, settings, monitoring and intervention. Seek independent financial, legal or tax advice where appropriate.
Backtests, simulations and past performance
Published results may be historical backtests or simulations rather than live trading. They rely on data, modelling choices, assumed costs and execution conditions. They may contain hindsight, data-quality, optimisation and modelling limitations and may not capture every spread, commission, rejection, outage, latency event, gap or liquidity condition. Past or simulated performance does not guarantee future results.
Drawdown and open-position risk
Floating-equity drawdown includes unrealised gains and losses on open positions. Closed-balance drawdown reflects only realised results and can understate risk while trades remain open. Historical maximum drawdown, whether floating or closed, is not a cap, forecast or promise about future loss.
Leverage and PortfolioRiskMultiplier
Leverage magnifies gains and losses. Increasing PortfolioRiskMultiplier or other exposure settings can materially increase position size, margin use, drawdown and the speed of loss. Broker leverage, contract size and symbol specifications can also change actual exposure. A setting that appears manageable in a simulation may be unsuitable for your account.
Execution and market risk
Live results can differ because of spreads, slippage, commissions, swaps, latency, rejected or partial orders, requotes, price gaps, limited liquidity, market closure, volatility, broker symbol differences and stop-out rules. Currency and instrument movements may be sudden, and losses can be amplified around news or illiquid periods.
Technology, software and licensing risk
Automated trading depends on your broker, MT5 terminal, VPS or computer, internet connection, configuration and EdgeFlow software and licensing availability. Updates, outages, clock differences, local settings, incompatible broker conditions or user error may interrupt or alter operation. Automation must be monitored; you must remain able to manage positions directly through your broker.
Strategy, model and regime risk
A strategy may stop performing as expected when market structure, volatility, liquidity, monetary policy, participants or broker conditions change. Optimisation can overfit historical data. Updates cannot ensure that a strategy remains profitable or suitable.
Portfolio and correlation risk
Multiple strategies do not eliminate risk. Strategies that appeared diversified historically may become correlated during stress, share currency or market exposures, or lose at the same time. Portfolio-level leverage and concentration can produce losses greater than individual strategy results suggest.
Prop-firm and third-party rules
Prop firms, brokers and platforms are independent third parties. Their drawdown, automation, news-trading, account, payout and prohibited-strategy rules can change. EdgeFlow does not guarantee compatibility, acceptance, account survival or payout eligibility with any prop firm or broker.
Your decision
Review the software, strategy settings, broker conditions and your financial circumstances before trading. Consider testing in a demo environment and using conservative exposure. If you do not understand or cannot accept these risks, do not use the software for live trading.
